Zoey Elizabeth!

So i know it's been a while but what can I say I've been busy! Zoey is now 4 months and she is just absolutly perfect in every way! She started sleeping through the night at 8 weeks old and she is still at it! I'm just waiting for that to change lol. But so far so good! She loves her sleep like her mommy and daddy. She isn't quite rolling completely over yet but she's halfway there! It is so cute watching her! I have so much fun with her..my life must have been so boring before her!

She definitely has a healthy appetite! She is eating 7-8 oz every feeding AND rice cereal! I'm not concerned at all she's a growing baby girl! She is wonderful! All I can say is being a mommy to Zoey is by far the best job in the world! I LOVE HER SO MUCH!!

Baby Shower #1...

Zoey's first baby shower was last weekend and it was fun! Some items that she got were mostly the necessities...diapers, wipes, baby wash and lotion, diper ointment, bottles, binkys...good stuff! I have lots of coupons so I will be buying some more diapers soon before they expire! Can never have too many diapers right! I have another shower coming up the 16th that my church is throwing for me so can't wait for that one!

The Big Day is Approaching...

26 Weeks

Here is a bare belly shot. That was 3 weeks ago and I feel like my belly has expanded twice that size at this point haha. I know it hasn't but it sure feels like it!

So third trimester has definitely been the worst out of the three so far. I mean it hasn't been unbearable or horrible by any means, just not the funnest of the three. My sciatic nerve on my right side has been a real pain lately, no punn intended lol. I can't walk too much or do a lot of housework in a day or I'm down for the next couple of days. Some days it's so bad that I literally have to brace myself to get up to go to the bathroom because if I don't I will totally fall and that would not be good! Other than that I don't have any major complaints really. Overall my pregnancy has been wonderful! I have loved every minute of it...even those minutes where I can't walk or can't breathe very well or toss and turn every night because my hips are aching...haha. This little miracle baby is worth every ounce of pain I have to go through :) We can't wait to meet this little girl!

Cute lil outfits for Zoey...

These are just a few little outfits that I have for Zoey so far. I got to go through 4 tote fulls of baby clothes courtesy of Jake's cousin and I found sooo many cute clothes for her! She'll be set for a few months at least!

Some fun stuff...

Well this is me at 24 weeks. I can't believe how much my belly has expanded in the past couple of weeks! Seems like it's gotten twice as big haha. But anyway I am loving every minute of it...thus far..hehe! Zoey has been very active lately. She's been kicking, punching, elbowing me a lot! It's a pretty cool feeling :) She must be starting gymnastics early haha.

I got her crib the other day. I was gonna wait and have someone help me put it together, but i was bored and it was just sittin in her room calling my name to be put together...so I did it! It only took me like 30 minutes and it's all nice and sturdy and I love it! Here is the finished product :)

I must say that I was impressed with my skills in putting together a crib! I didn't even hurt myself! Didn't think I had it in me haha. Now I need the crib bedding set and it will look so cute! Baby showers are coming up so we'll see...I can't wait!
So a couple of weeks ago I bought the coolest thing. It's a prenatal heart listener where I can listen to zoey's heartbeat, listen to her kick, and hear her hiccup! Up until now I haven't been able to hear much of anything but I tried it again yesterday and today and I am able to hear things now! It is just the coolest thing :) I enjoy it!

Seasons are Changing...and so am I

Well Christmas is over and I hope you girls had a wonderful holiday! I spent this holiday with my family and it was nice. I watched my niece and nephew open presents Christmas morning and they had a blast. I got a few things...food saver, ice cream maker, tea kettle...which I wasn't expecting at all! But I was very pleased. But the best present of all was a call from my baby Christmas morning :) We got to talk for about 30 minutes so that made my day! I miss my love so very much. But we are focusing on him coming home and at the same time little Zoey's arrival in May. I know God will keep him safe until then :)

I have settled into my apartment as much as I am going to. Most everything is unpacked...everything I want unpacked that is. I have definitely discovered while unpacking everything that Jake and I have a lot of stuff! Too much stuff for a 2 bedroom apartment that's for sure. Right now Zoey's room is pretty full of boxes so I have to figure out what I am going to do with the rest of our things so she will have a place to sleep lol! Oh well I will figure something out. I can't wait to start buying things for her room! The anticipation is killing me!

So I am now 21 weeks and my baby bump keeps getting bigger and I love it! And when she moves around and kicks me it is such an awesome feeling! I am definitely loving 2nd trimester! It is so cool to realize I have a little person growing in my belly. It also helps me to realize I have a part of Jake with me always so when I'm feeling sad and I'm missing him I just rub my belly and it makes me smile :)

So this is my baby bump at 20 weeks and it's amazing how much it's grown! Also hard to believe I am halfway through my pregnancy...gosh how time flies! I will be starting birthing classes in about a month so that should be fun. This baby is such a wonderful gift from God and I thank Him every day for blessing me with Jake and this baby :)

Here is the recent outfit that I bought Zoey...she's so gonna be a little cowgirl lol!

Sweet lil things...

So Jake and I were in Temple last weekend looking around at Academy and we happened to walk by these adorable little camoflauge shoes! Now we don't know if we're having a boy or a girl yet but we HAD to get them because they were so darn cute...and as Jake says camoflauge. He told me it didn't matter if we were having a little Zoey or a little Hunter because regardless our little boy or girl will be chillin in these cute little boots!
We have an appointment Dec 11 to find out the gender..how exciting! I had such a time at Darnell yesterday. Since Jake will be leaving around Dec 15 I wanted to get an ultrasound in before he left so he could see our baby and know whether it was a boy or girl. Well the appointment maker guy was really rude to me and confusing me so bad that I started crying because he just wasn't understanding what I needed and he wasn't helping me at all. Well Jake HATES it when I'm upset so he's trying to figure out what's going on and then like 3 nurses saw me upset and were trying to calm me down...ok so I wasn't crying that bad. But they were all so nice to me and helped me so much! Eventually we got it all straightened out and luckily got an ultrasound scheduled like 3 days before Jake leaves so I was really happy when I left. AND we got to hear the heartbeat and it sounded so cool!! The dr said it sounded really healthy so that put my mind at ease seeing as we couldn't see the baby on ultrasound just got to hear the heart. At least I have one picture for now :)
